  • Do we seek first God’s kingdom and trust God to provide for all our earthly needs? Or do we seek first our needs in this world and neglect our greatest need – to be part of God’s everlasting kingdom?

  • What happens when we die? People have many opinions on the subject, but God’s Word, the Bible, teaches that “it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). Since the next thing for us after death is God’s judgment, how do you wish to be judged by God?

  • What right do we have to go to Jesus for help? Not only are we, for the most part, not descended from Israel, we are poor miserable sinners undeserving of God’s grace and mercy. • Washing one’s hands before eating has its hygienic benefits, but it does not make or keep one clean before God. The real problem is what is inside us and comes out of our evil hearts — evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, etc. These things which come from within our evil hearts defile us and make us guilty and unclean before a holy and just God (cf. Jeremiah 17:9; Genesis 8:21; Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:9-20).
