  • It was indeed fitting that, during the observance of the Passover, Jesus, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29), the holy and righteous Son of God made man (1 Peter 1:19), instituted the New Testament sacrament to show forth His death for the sins of the world until He comes again to receive us to Himself.
