  What right do we have to go to Jesus for help? Not only are we, for the most part, not descended from Israel, but we are also poor miserable sinners undeserving of God’s grace and mercy. We have no standing of our own, no basis to expect God’s Son to hear us or to help us, but He does!

• How can we have peace with God?

  To have peace with God is to be pardoned and forgiven. It is to be acquitted by Him for all our transgressions of His perfect and holy law, and it is to be accepted back into fellowship with the LORD God who fashioned and made us in our mothers’ wombs.

• Jesus tempted by the devil

  Jesus “was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin” (Heb. 4:15). Sometimes it’s hard to imagine Jesus being tempted in the same ways we are tempted but He was, and He never yielded but was perfectly obedient to God’s Word in every point that He might be our Savior.
